Agreement between Tor Vergata and Italy Pavilion for innovation and sustainability

The initiatives and events indicated in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Commissariat for Italy’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai and Rome University Tor Vergata pertain to all those challenges around our changing world and the themes of sustainable development and innovation.

The agreement signed by Commissioner General Paolo Glisenti and Rector Orazio Schillaci aims at making Italy’s presence at the next Universal Exhibition starting on 1 October a tool for sharing knowledge and increasing skills, one able to promote innovative models to be shared on the world stage.

The initiatives envisaged for the six months of Expo Dubai will allow the promotion of twinning and know-how exchanges in the countries of the Mediterranean, linking Europe to North Africa and to the countries of the Middle East also through bursaries, stages and other support systems and in the context of a diverse cultural milieu which is expanding greatly.

The common engagement of the Commissariat and Tor Vergata University aims at involving not only the academic community, but also the main Italian and international business voices which cooperate with this educational establishment in a range of ways and are associated with research and development training projects.
