“The markets of Middle Eastern countries are paying great attention to the Italian agri-food sector and the presence of the excellence of Lazio’s agri-industry at Expo Dubai represents a great opportunity for our companies to promote the excellence of our territories, an expression of quality, tradition, culture and innovation. The economy of Lazio is showing important signs of recovery and its exports have recorded the highest growth in the last 5 years compared to other Italian regions. This encourages us to strengthen our development strategy, which has innovation and the internationalisation of our companies as its key words, in order to return to promotional activities and compete on world markets,” states Paolo Orneli, Regional Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Crafts, University, Research, Start-Up and Innovation of Lazio.
“The flavours of Lazio could not be missing in Dubai, with our excellent artisan products and those with denominations of origin. We strongly wished that our best agri-food companies could have the opportunity to make themselves known in a context of the highest international level and look to the future. For this reason, I would like to thank the coordinator of Lazio at Expo Dubai, Quirino Briganti, my colleague in the Council, the Councillor for Economic Development, Paolo Orneli, and Lazio Innova for the invaluable teamwork which, I must say, has always distinguished the Zingaretti administration and which this time too has led to important goals that see us as protagonists in the United Arab Emirates in a transversal and diversified manner. And my best wishes to the 26 Lazio agri-food companies selected for this great opportunity,” said Enrica Onorati, Councillor for Agriculture, Forestry, Promotion of the Food Chain and Culture, and Equal Opportunities of the Lazio Region.
