An innovative IoT-based technology will create spectacular light shows linked to the feelings of visitors.
As Premium Provider of the Italy Pavilion, Enel will make its technology available in order to create two dynamic light installations, Second Sun and Second Moon, and a Smart Metering system.
Second Sun and Second Moon have been created by the Enel business line Enel X especially for the Italy Pavilion. They measure 5 metres in diameter and include around 320 LED lights to illuminate the exhibition space in a functional way and recreate spectacular scenarios through the mutation of colour temperature over 24 hours (the circadian cycle).
Furthermore, integrated IoT cameras will enable real-time monitoring of the number of people inside the Pavilion, as well as the analysis of data and to generate a change of sun-scene creating a narrative, emotive and knowledge interaction with visitors.
A smart metering system will be installed on the Second Sun power lines.
Both features have great symbolic content as well as being functional and valuable elements of the Italy Pavilion.
The LED lighting of Second Sun represents a metaphor for energy in 2021: digital and inclusive, able to tune into the needs and requirements of clients. The smart metering system is the evolution of an energy fruition model based on responsible choices aiming for urban sustainable development.
