Innovation, internationalisation and attractiveness of territories

Expo 2020 Dubai represents for our country, our regions and our territories a unique stage for visibility, in a world that will express in the next few years very important opportunities for investment and the relaunch of international tourist flows. The project we have been pursuing has always had as its primary objective the enhancement of the artistic, productive and scientific fabric of the Italian territories.
In the light of these premises, together with our local partners, we are seeking to enhance the innovations, technologies and best organize developed in the priority sectors of the Expo; to increase technological partnerships and opportunities for direct foreign investment, as well as international collaborations between companies, academic and scientific bodies to show millions of visitors from around the world, the excellence and creativity of our country.
As a demonstration of the important role that the Regions have within the Italian Pavilion, the Commissariat General proposes organizes on 26 February, with the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Autonomies and the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, an event for the promotion and presentation of the regional participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, starting from the enhancement of the model of development and innovation constituted by the Regional Productive Clusters, a factor of growth, internationalisation, tourist attraction of territories and regional systems.
The event is also be an opportunity to compare the Italian experience of the Regional Clusters with the growing presence of Technology Districts, incubators, accelerators on the territory of the United Arab Emirates and in particular in the City of Dubai, designated to consolidate its role as a hub for innovation and the flow of investment from the ME.NA.SA area to the Mediterranean countries.
