Meeting with the Department of Aerospace Sciences of New York University in Abu Dhabi
On Thursday 30th september at 12.00 pm will be held the digital meeting “Aerospace research in the United Arab Emirates. Meeting with the Department of Aerospace Sciences of New York University in Abu Dhabi“.
The event, organised in collaboration with Tecnopolo SpA and Unioncamere Lazio, is part of the cycle of Information & Training meetings, carried out as part of the activities that the Lazio Region is putting in place in view of the participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, the Universal Exhibition that will start next October 1st in the Emirates city.
The digital meeting will be attended by Prof. Laurent Gizon, researcher at the Department of Aerospace Sciences at New York University Abu Dhabi and member of the Center for Space Science at NYU Abu Dhabi, involved in the preparation of two future ESA space missions: Solar Orbiter and PLATO.
Professor Gizon is particularly involved in the study of phenomena affecting the Sun and other stars. The department is busy studying their internal processes and stellar oscillations. This type of study allows us to understand phenomena such as the rotation and magnetic field of stars, which are closely linked to internal processes such as convective motions.
The digital event, which will be held in mixed English/Italian, is an unmissable opportunity for companies, start-ups, university spinoffs, research centres and university departments in Lazio engaged in research and development of technologies in the space/aerospace field.
