David’s “twin” wins in the Exhibitor Magazine Expo 2020 Awards exhibition in the “best elements and details” category
The Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has been declared the winner in the “best elements and details” category of the Exhibitor Magazine Expo 2020 Awards.
The competition sponsored by the prestigious international magazine was open to all pavilions, presentations and pavilion elements at Expo 2020.
The category “𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨” included any innovative element or material part of a pavilion or exhibition, including stairways, lounges, eye-catching displays, lighting, ceilings, walls, halls, sculptures, etc. The Judges assessed the aesthetic value, appropriateness and overall impact of each candidate element.
The award went in particular to the life-size reproduction of Michelangelo’s David, which in the exhibition itinerary is located inside the ‘Theatre of Memory‘, considered the beating heart of the Italian structure at the Expo.
The perfect fibreglass replica, made with absolutely innovative technologies, was a great success among visitors of the Universal Exhibition and was the protagonist of an impressive promotional campaign for the Expo, carried out with mega posters along the main roads of Dubai and the Emirates.
The Italy Pavilion is one of the most recognizable and visited at Expo, welcoming hundreds of people every day and has already won the ‘Best Business Project‘ award at the Construction Innovation Awards last October.
